Kids Christmas

Yesterday we went to the Kids Christmas program at our church with our nephew/godson Tate. It was even better than we had hoped. He got to make a t-shirt, collect ornament stickers at different stations, and see a Christmas pageant. I think his favorite part might have been signing Happy Birthday to Jesus and getting to eat cake.

He also got to clean out our cars change area and donate some money through one of those cool change whirlwind things. I kept telling him that the money was going to help kids who needed it but I think he was too mesmerized by the coins spinning to get it.

Here he is at one of the stations. The kids had to feel the surprise in the stocking. Its one way to help them feel connected and to get them to pay attention to the message. There was a baby Jesus (the reason for the season), a heart (its all about love), and a cross (the greatest gift of all).

We love our new church and we were thankful we had the opportunity to introduce Tate to it. We are looking forward to future kids programs we can take him and his younger brother Carter to and to getting involved in other ministries there.
